Teachers have found that Google Keep is perfect for almost EVERYTHING! We use it to make our to-do list, our grocery list and even to keep snapshots of student work. However, the one thing we forget to do is put this powerful tool that we all love in the hands of our students! We have all spent hours and hours with that struggling student creating an interactive note book. And then the unthinkable happens. You guessed it, the notebook is missing in action! Wow---Book Creator is of those online tools that has drastically changed my teaching. This is an easy to use tool that allows teachers and students to collaborate to produce digital books. My goal has always been for my students to create a resource that he or she could take with them and benefit for years to come. However, in reality it didn´t matter how fancy or nice our interactive notebooks were they still didn´t keep up with them for the next year. They definitely didn´t have a clue where their Interactive Algebra Notebooks were by their junior year! I have just started by Book Creator Journey with my students and they love it! We are saving their published links in Google Keep so that they can always refer back to them or just show them off ! Anyone who has taught math will know what I am talking about...things that students just need to memorize but find no reason to memorize! Students who struggle need this daily practice to help them recall important facts and rules. Just a few examples: Identify the slope in y= 4x - 8. Identify the following symbol > Use the distributive property 3(4x-8) to simplify What is 6 - (-3)? Response Validation in google forms can become your best friend. This feature will require students to get the correct answer before they can move to the next question. Daily Roll Calls are the perfect class to practice these building block skills.
